Pamela Skinner of Oakdale was named to the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District this week by the Board of Commissioners.

A local health care organization is hosting free health screenings for women throughout the month of February.

HealthEast Care System is sponsoring the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. Screenings will look at total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, and body mass index.

A 48-year-old St. Paul man was killed while crossing the street in Maplewood Thursday morning.

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened just before 7 a.m. at Innovation Boulevard and Century Avenue near the 3M complex.

Authorities say Steven Tague was crossing the street against the light and was hit by a car heading southbound.
